Online Proficiency Exam Registration Form for Compulsory Prep Students, 26-28 January 2021

Dear students,

An Online Proficiency Exam will be held at semester break in the academic year 2020-2021 for Compulsory English Classes (English Language Teaching & Translation Studies). Those who wish to take this exam are kindly asked to fill out the registration form below by 22 January 2021 (17:00). The written test will be administered online on January 26, 2021, while the speaking test will be held on the following day(s) depending on the number of students who obtain a sufficient score from the written test.

The 90-minute first session of the exam, which consists of questions of multiple choice test and writing skills, will be held between 11.00-12.30 on January 26, 2021, and the exam link will be accessible on the web page of our School (https://ydyo.bartin.edu.tr/) and Microsoft Office Teams groups due to the malfunction in the e-course system. All students must activate their Office 365 accounts to access the exam.

  • Students taking the written test of the online exam to be held on January 26, 2021 will be taken to the speaking test on January 27-28, 2020. The day and time interval the students will attend the speaking session will be announced on the website of the School of Foreign Languages on the same day as the written test.
  • The list of proficient students will be announced on the web page of the School of Foreign Languages ​​as a result of the evaluations to be made after the first session consisting of test and writing skills sections and the oral examination sections.

 

Important: The speaking test will be conducted using the "Zoom" application. In order to identify the students to take the exam, they must show their ID cards to the instructor in charge of the exam before it starts. In order for the oral exam to take place smoothly, it is the students' responsibility to provide the necessary technical infrastructure (computer, mobile device, internet connection, camera and microphone) for the exam day and time allocated to them. In order to fulfill the requirements related to the reliability and validity of the exam, the oral session will be recorded in accordance with the relevant provisions of the KVKK. The registered exam will not be shared with real persons and/or legal entities in any way and for any purpose. If the student participating in the online written test will attend the oral exam to be held afterwards, it is required to accept the "Consent Declaration for the Obtaining of Personal Data" in the online registration form, which will show that they accept the registration during the oral test.
